Optiwave headquartered in CANADA provides innovative design and simulation software in the field of photonics. It is emerging as the World leader in Photonic Design Automation.

Optiwave products is becoming must and should s/w for the Photonics courses. Many universities are already using these S/W in their curriculum.

AMDL has now partnered with Optiwave as their exclusive distributors in India.

Optiwave offers the following products :

Opti System : This S/W is an innovative rapidly evolving software which enables the users to plan, test, and simulate almost every type of optical link in the physical layer of a broad spectrum of optical networks from LAN., SN< MAN to ultra ling haul.

Applications :

WDM?TDM or CATV network Design, SOnet/ SDH ring deisgn, Transmitter, channel, amplifier and receiver design, Dispersion map design etc.,

Opti Amplifier :

Opti Amplifier improves the desinger’s skills productivity, reduce ristk and lower overall costs related to desiging of Opti Amplifier. It gives better ROI and break eve point. S/W uses Industry respected Scientific algorithms.

Applications :
Single/ Multi Stage EDFA design, Reflective, split-band and bi-directional amplifier, Raman and Hybrid Raman simulations etc.,

Opti BPM :

CAD S/W tools is basically used for waveguide design and has guiding, coupling, switching, splitting, multiplexing features. This is based on the Beam Propogation Method of simulating light passage through any waveguide medium.

Applications include:
Design of Splitters, Combiners, Couplers, Modulators, Design of optic fibre based devices etc.,.

Opti FDTD :

OptiFDTD is a powerful, highly integrated and user friendly software that enables CAD and simuation of Advance Passve and non linera Photonic Components. The core program is based on Finit difference time domain Algorithm, with secod order numerical accuracy and most advanced boundary condition- Uniaxial perfectly matched layer bourndary condition.

Applications:
Photonic band gap material simulation, Optical Micro-ring filters and resonators, Grating based waveguide structures etc.,.

OptiFiber :

Optifibre is a versatile and powerful tool that blends numerical mode solvers for fiber modes with calculuation models for fiber deispersion, losses, and polarization Mode Dispersion.

Applications:
Single Mode fiber designs such as SMF-28, DCF, LEAF etc

OptiGrating :

Grating is a user friendly design software for modeling integrated and fiber optical devices that incorporate optical gratings. The S/W uses the Coupled Mode theory to model the light and analyse and synthesise the gratings.

Applications :
WDM, narrow and broad band fiber and wave guide filters, EDFA gaoin flattening elements, Fiber and wave guide sensors.
