The Capture CIS option integrates OrCAD Capture® schematic design entry with powerful capabilities like Searching, Retrieving, and Analyzing a company's and/or manufacturer's component specifications. Time spent entering content part information is streamlined with enhanced CIS features. The CIS option automatically retrieves the part data needed for use in the areas of Engineering, Purchase and Manufacturing - all centrally managed within OrCAD Capture

OrCAD Capture® CIS (or OrCAD Capture with CIS Option) integrates the OrCAD Capture schematic design application with features of a CIS. Designed to reduce time spent searching existing parts for reuse, manually entering part information content, and ongoing maintenance of component data. Search parts based on their electrical characteristics, and Capture CIS automatically retrieves the associated part.
