With advanced rules support comes the need for advanced rules management. The Performance option delivers this through the Allegro Constraint Manager. Constraint Manager provides a real-time display of advanced rules and their status based on the current state of the design at all stages of the design process. It does this through a spreadsheet interface that enables you to capture, manage, and validate the different rules in a hierarchical fashion. Once the rules are present in the database, they are used to drive the placement and routing processes for those signals.
